Chain link fence installation in Slidell and the Northshore stretched tight.
Chain link is the budget-friendly, low-maintenance way to fence a yard. We install galvanized and black vinyl-coated chain link in several heights for property lines, pet areas, and open yards.
Our chain link fence work
Chain link is the most affordable way to put a solid boundary around a yard. We install it in two finishes. Galvanized is the classic silver look, and black vinyl-coated has a darker coating that blends into landscaping and reads cleaner.
Every chain link fence we build uses terminal posts at the corners and gates, line posts spaced evenly between them, a top rail, and tension wire along the bottom. The mesh is stretched tight so there is no slack and the fence does not sag.
We install it in several heights and add walk gates and wider drive gates to match how you use the yard. Posts are set in concrete so the fence stays upright through wet ground and Louisiana weather.
What a chain link fence gives you
- The lowest cost of any fence we install, with very little upkeep
- A clear, strong boundary that still lets you see across the yard
- A safe, enclosed area for dogs and other pets to run
- A good fit for open yards, rentals, side yards, and utility fencing
What to expect
We start by marking the layout along your property line. Terminal posts go in at the corners and gate openings, with line posts spaced evenly between them, and every post is set in concrete.
Once the posts are firm we attach the top rail and tension wire, then stretch the mesh tight across the frame so there is no slack. Gates are hung with strong latches and hinges and tested so they swing and latch right.
When the fence is done we clean up the site and walk the line with you. Most chain link jobs in Slidell take one to two days depending on the length of the run.
Chain link FAQs
Galvanized or black vinyl-coated, which should I get?
Galvanized is the classic silver chain link and costs the least. Black vinyl-coated has a dark coating that blends into grass and trees and looks less industrial, plus the coating adds a layer over the metal. Both are strong; the choice is mostly about how you want it to look.
What heights do you install?
We install chain link in several heights to fit the job, from lower runs for a side yard up to taller fence for dogs or a back boundary. We will talk through the right height for your yard when we come out to measure.
Is chain link good for dogs?
Yes. It makes a strong, see-through enclosure that gives dogs room to run while keeping them in. For larger or jumping dogs we can go with a taller fence, and we set the bottom tension wire tight so the mesh stays firm at ground level.
How long does chain link last?
Galvanized and vinyl-coated chain link both hold up for many years with almost no maintenance. The galvanizing and the coating resist rust, and because the posts are set in concrete the fence stays upright through wet seasons.
